Volunteers Needed for Prop 50 Canvassing

We will be organizing phone banking opportunities starting this Saturday, September 6th, and neighborhood canvassing starting the following Saturday, September 13th.

We have a short amount of time to turn out our voters!

Proposition 50 will effectively counter to the naked gerrymandering plan in Texas and will be on the ballot in November. Voting will begin on October 6th.

Proposition 50 is a principled response to the Republicans’ openly partisan power grab.

• Unlike the Texas move, Proposition 50 will allow California voters to decide whether or not to redraw our Congressional District lines.
• Proposition 50, if it passes, will only take effect if the Texas gerrymander goes into effect.
• Proposition 50 will be temporary - it will only last until the next census in 2030.
• Proposition 50 is targeted - 80% of Californians will not see a change in their districts.
• Unlike the Texas plan, Proposition 50 upholds the Voting Rights Act and protects the voting rights of all communities.
